From stories of what the Siuslaw once was, we have a vision of what we can be in the future for our lands and forests, lakes and streams, fish and wildlife, and for the people of the Siuslaw. Join us to watch 8 short films highlighting the diverse people and organizations working to restore the Siuslaw and Coastal Lakes.

The Siuslaw was once second only to the Columbia River in the number of salmon our river produced each year. Our small watershed on the coast was a thriving ecosystem stewarded and managed by indigenous communities whose traditions and culture developed from a deep appreciation and knowledge of natural processes of our watershed. With the arrival of colonizers in the mid-19th century, there was a drastic change in land management which in turn brought the precipitous decline in salmon populations and in ecosystem health.

Today, we’re working with our partners to restore the natural processes and functions of our watershed. We’re all from diverse backgrounds with varying connections to our watershed, from indigenous connections to the land, generations of family who have lived here since the 1880’s, to new arrivals.

Ticket sales will benefit the Siuslaw Watershed Council, supporting our mission to restore the Siuslaw and Coastal Lakes watersheds. Refreshments including beer, wine and snacks will be available for purchase.
