Watershed Exploration Camp

June 17, 2019  - June 21, 2019

We're excited to announce that we'll be offering our Watershed Exploration Camp again this year! Our camp is scheduled for June 17-21 for youth entering 4th through 12th grades. This year, due to increased funding for our camp we're able to offer different age-appropriate activities, splitting our camp in half for the younger and older groups throughout the week, at times we'll all be together and when appropriate, we'll have two separate groups. During camp we'll travel throughout the Siuslaw region learning about local plants, animals, rivers, lakes and the forest. We focus on our restoration work that is being done to keep our watershed healthy and resilient. Campers will get a chance to make a difference in our watershed through hands-on restoration work in between fun activities highlighting some of the unique recreation opportunities in our area such as stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, sandboarding and much more!

We hope that your child can join us this summer as we explore the lakes, forests, and streams of the Siuslaw and Coastal Lakes watersheds this summer and will join the next generation of stewards of our awesome natural environment! Registration packets are available on our website at https://www.siuslaw.org/exploration-camp/

Siuslaw Watershed Exploration Camp is made possible with funding from The Ford Family Foundation, Oregon Community Foundation, Western Lane Community Foundation, Mapleton Community Foundation, the Rotary Club of Florence, the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians, and through private donations form watershed council members.

Camp is $75 for the week and scholarships are available!
